How to behave and the consequences for not.
These Community Guidelines explain the standards we expect everyone to follow when using the Metro Productions forums and other community features.
The forums exist so players, developers, staff, and other members of the Metro Productions community can communicate with each other properly. That only works when the community remains useful, welcoming, and worth reading.
These Guidelines apply to posts, threads, comments, profiles, reactions, reports, and other community activity on the Website. They supplement the Metro Productions Terms of Service and do not replace them.
The forums exist so players and the people building the games can talk to each other properly.
That means asking questions, reporting problems, sharing ideas, discussing updates, helping other players, providing feedback, and having normal conversations.
A good community does not require everyone to agree. It does require people to be able to disagree without turning every discussion into a personal argument.
The goal is simple: keep the forums useful, readable, and enjoyable for everyone.
Treat other members with basic respect.
Disagree with the argument, not the person. Heated discussions are not automatically a problem, and people are allowed to have strong opinions. Personal attacks, harassment, humiliation, intimidation, and deliberately hostile behavior are different.
You should not target someone because of their identity, background, beliefs, interests, or other personal characteristics.
You are responsible for the way you communicate, even when you believe someone else started the argument.
Use the category that best matches your topic.
If you put something in the wrong category, that is not a serious problem. Staff may move the thread to the appropriate category rather than deleting it.
Do not intentionally place content in unrelated categories simply to attract attention or disrupt discussions.
If you are reporting a problem with one of our games or services, provide enough information for someone to investigate it.
Where possible, include:
A vague report is a report nobody can act on.
You do not need to provide sensitive personal information to make a bug report.
Before starting a new discussion, search the forums to see whether the question or topic has already been covered.
If an existing discussion covers the same subject, adding useful information to that discussion is generally better than creating another thread.
Duplicate discussions may be merged, moved, locked, or removed where appropriate.
If you share something you did not create, give appropriate credit to its creator.
Do not claim somebody else's work as your own.
This includes artwork, screenshots, videos, code, designs, guides, resources, writing, and other creative or technical work.
Credit does not give you permission to use something that the creator has prohibited you from using. You are still responsible for respecting applicable copyright and other intellectual property rights.
The following activities are prohibited on the Website and may result in moderation or enforcement action.
This list is not exhaustive. Conduct that is not specifically listed may still violate these Guidelines or the Terms of Service if it is abusive, unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or otherwise harmful to the community.
Disagreement is allowed.
You can criticize a game, update, decision, feature, development direction, or opinion. You can also disagree with Staff decisions through the appropriate channels.
What matters is how you do it.
You should not turn disagreements into:
If a discussion has stopped being productive, Staff may lock the thread even if the original discussion was permitted.
We want people to be able to criticize Metro Productions and its games.
You are allowed to say that you dislike a feature, disagree with a development decision, think an update could have been handled better, or believe something needs improvement.
Constructive criticism is encouraged.
However, criticism does not provide an exemption from the rest of these Guidelines.
For example, "I think this update was poorly designed because..." is legitimate criticism.
Targeting a developer or Staff member with personal abuse because you dislike an update is not.
You should use appropriate feedback channels when you want something formally reviewed or considered by the development team.
If you discover a bug, exploit, vulnerability, or other technical problem, report it through the appropriate support or reporting system where possible.
Do not intentionally abuse a vulnerability against other Users, Metro Productions systems, or our games.
Do not publicly provide instructions that would enable other people to exploit a security vulnerability, bypass restrictions, cheat, or otherwise abuse our systems.
We may restrict discussion of vulnerabilities where necessary to prevent further abuse.
A person who reports a problem in good faith will generally be treated differently from someone who deliberately abuses the problem.
The forums are not intended to be a general advertising platform.
You must not use the Website to repeatedly promote unrelated:
Games;
Limited promotion may be permitted in areas specifically designated for it or where Metro Productions has given permission.
Staff may remove promotional material that is excessive, misleading, unrelated, or otherwise disruptive.
Do not post another person's private information.
This includes information such as:
You should also think carefully before posting your own personal information.
Metro Productions Staff will not ask you to post passwords, authentication codes, payment card details, or other sensitive credentials publicly.
If someone asks you for information that appears suspicious, report it to Staff rather than providing it.
Scams and deceptive activity are prohibited.
This includes attempts to:
If you believe you have encountered a scam, report it to Staff as soon as possible.
You may not impersonate another User, Staff member, developer, representative, or organization in a manner that could reasonably cause confusion.
Using a similar username, profile picture, title, or other identifying information specifically to make others believe you are someone else may be treated as impersonation.
Staff may require accounts that are reasonably likely to cause confusion to change their names, profiles, or other identifying information.
Creating an Account or profile that falsely represents an official Metro Productions role is prohibited.
Do not use, distribute, promote, or provide instructions for exploits, cheats, unauthorized modifications, or other methods intended to gain an unfair advantage in Metro Productions games or Services.
This includes attempts to manipulate game systems, bypass intended restrictions, abuse unintended mechanics, or interfere with other players.
If you discover an exploit, report it privately through the appropriate channel rather than distributing instructions for using it.
Do not deliberately fill the forums with content that makes them harder to use.
This includes:
Not every short or low-effort post is automatically spam. Staff will consider the context and overall behavior.
Staff are responsible for helping maintain the community.
Staff may:
Moderation decisions are based on the circumstances of the situation. Staff may consider the seriousness of the conduct, previous violations, intent, impact on others, cooperation with Staff, and other relevant factors.
Not every violation will receive the same punishment.
Likewise, not every situation can be handled using an identical checklist. Staff may use judgment when determining the appropriate response.
Reports are an important part of keeping the community safe.
If you submit a Report, provide accurate information and explain what happened.
Do not submit Reports simply because you dislike another User, lost an argument with them, or want to get them punished.
False, malicious, deliberately misleading, or abusive Reports may themselves result in moderation action.
We may not disclose every detail of an investigation or enforcement decision because doing so could reveal private information, moderation methods, security information, or information relating to another User.
Reports go to a queue that Staff actually review.
Depending on what happened, we may:
Moderation actions may be recorded in internal systems for accountability, security, moderation history, and future investigations.
Where appropriate, you will be informed about the action taken and the general reason for it.
However, we may withhold information where disclosure could compromise an investigation, reveal another User's private information, expose security systems, or create another legitimate safety or operational concern.
We understand that Staff can make mistakes.
If you believe a moderation action was incorrect, use the available appeal or support process.
Provide enough information for Staff to understand what happened and why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
We would rather correct a genuine mistake than defend an incorrect decision simply because it has already been made.
Appeals must still be made respectfully. Repeatedly submitting substantially identical appeals, threatening Staff, attempting to manipulate the appeal process, or abusing the support system may result in restrictions on further appeals.
These Guidelines apply to Staff as well as ordinary community members.
Staff are expected to behave professionally, fairly, and appropriately when interacting with the community.
A Staff member behaving badly is a bigger problem than a member doing the same, not a smaller one.
If you believe a Staff member has abused their position, acted improperly, or violated these Guidelines, you may report the matter through the appropriate support channel.
You should provide enough information for the matter to be reviewed.
Some conduct may result in immediate and severe enforcement.
This includes, without limitation:
Depending on the circumstances, serious violations may result in permanent removal from the community without prior warnings.
Where legally or operationally appropriate, Metro Productions may also report serious conduct to Roblox, Discord, relevant service providers, or appropriate authorities.
If you are suspended, restricted, or banned, you must not attempt to bypass the action.
This includes using:
Asking someone else to access the community or communicate on your behalf for the purpose of bypassing a restriction may also constitute Ban Evasion.
If you believe an enforcement action was incorrect, use the appeal process instead.
Purchasing a Perk does not purchase immunity from these Guidelines.
Supporters, subscribers, donors, developers, Staff, and other Users are expected to follow the same basic community standards.
A User's purchase history or support for Metro Productions does not prevent moderation action.
If your Account is banned, Perks or digital benefits that exist independently on Roblox remain subject to Roblox's systems and policies. However, rewards, roles, access, or other benefits attached specifically to your Metro Productions Website Account may stop applying when your Website access is restricted or terminated.
Refunds and payment disputes are handled according to the applicable payment platform's policies and the Terms of Service.
Do not post content that you do not have permission to share.
You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload or publish does not unlawfully infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy rights, or other legal rights.
If you believe content on the Website infringes your rights, contact Metro Productions through the appropriate support channel with enough information for the issue to be reviewed.
Staff may remove or restrict content where there is a reasonable basis to believe it violates applicable law, these Guidelines, or the Terms of Service.
Be careful when clicking links posted by other Users.
Metro Productions does not guarantee that external websites are safe, accurate, legitimate, or appropriate.
Do not use the forums to distribute malicious, deceptive, phishing, or otherwise harmful links.
A link appearing on the Website does not mean Metro Productions endorses or recommends the destination.
Metro Productions operates its community with the understanding that younger people may participate.
Do not post material that is inappropriate for a general gaming community or that is intended to expose other Users to sexual, exploitative, or otherwise unsafe material.
Sexual content and the sexualization of minors are prohibited.
Users should also avoid asking other members for unnecessary personal information, particularly where the information could create a safety or privacy risk.
No set of rules can predict every possible situation.
Something does not become acceptable merely because it is not specifically listed in these Guidelines.
Metro Productions may take action against conduct that is reasonably determined to be:
Staff will use reasonable judgment and consider the circumstances rather than treating every situation identically.
Metro Productions may update these Community Guidelines as the Website and community develop.
When significant changes are made, we may update the "Last Updated" date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
You are responsible for following the current version of these Guidelines when using the Website.
The best community moderation system is one that does not have to be used constantly.
You do not need to agree with everyone. You do not need to like every update. You do not need to pretend every game is perfect.
Just keep the community useful.
Help when you can. Give criticism when it is useful. Report problems instead of exploiting them. Give people room to disagree. Credit people for their work. And if something goes wrong, use the proper channels to sort it out.
